Designation of Position and Rotation of Industrial Fans

The following designation of fan position and direction of rotation are in accordance with EUROVENT.

The direction of rotation is determined looking at the fan housing from the motor side of the fan.

The direction of rotation is thereby:

• RD = clockwise
• LG = counter-clockwise

The direction of rotation (RD or LG) is followed by the actual degree of angle of the housing. The degree of angle is measured from a base line forming a horizontal line through the fan shaft and parallel to the installation level of the fan.
