Industrial Fan with Suction Box for Fish Feed Production
This centrifugal fan placed in Norway and is used for a fish feed manufacturer’s scrubber plant. It is designed for 120,000 m³/h at a static pressure of 3,000 Pa and equipped with a 160 kW 6-poled motor. In addition, for optimal flow a suction box will be mounted on the inlet of the fan.
Special construction materials and noise insulation due to the surroundings
The outdoor location and installation near a harbor has placed special demands on the design and choice of construction material. Therefore, both the fan and suction box are noise-insulated and covered with marine grade aluminum plate to prevent corrosion.
All media-affected parts of the fan are made of stainless steel due to the humid process air, while the frame is made of black steel and subsequently hot-dip galvanized due to the outdoor location.

The production of fish feed can cause significant odors, and out of consideration for the surrounding community, scrubber systems are often installed in connection with the production facilities to purify the process air and remove odors.
