Moldow has bought the engineering and fan manufacturing company B. Bille A/S, only 7 months after the acquisition of Barker Jørgensens Maskinfabrik A/S.
“We have known about the company and Managing Director Flemming Bille for many years now, and have always had great respect for their expertise in industrial fans. The acquisition of B. Bille is another initiative to increase our market share and knowhow. This is a growing market, and there’s a great demand from our customers”, says Moldow’s Managing Director, K. Preben Hansen.
The company B. Bille has for more than 50 years designed and manufactured fans for customers worldwide, and during the last couple of years, they have designed a new and optimized product line based on 3D technology and a complete range of attenuators. Before Moldow’s acqusition, the company was owned by Flemming Bille, who is the second generation in the family business. In the future, Flemming Bille will be the Managing Director of the company, and his father, Bent Bille, and the other employees will also continue their employment with the company.
“Flemming will have a pivotal role in designing, adapting and selling our fan products, and in relation to that he will also be a part of the management of Barker Fans”, explains K. Preben Hansen.
Managing Director Flemming Bille says: “I’m looking forward to being part of a larger organization, which gives us the possibility to work together to develop the companies that already hold strong market positions. I’m convinced that the cooperation with both Barker Fans’ and Moldow’s employees will be successful and that there will be synergies to be gained in regard to both sales, production and sourcing”.
K. Preben Hansen continues: “B. Bille’s fans are a great addition to Moldow’s and Barker’s product range in relation to both customer segments and fan types, and all fans are based on high quality, efficiency and reliability. In recent years, like Moldow B. Bille has engaged in optimizing the efficiency of the fans as well as their production”.
Relating to the acquisition, it has been decided to purchase Barker Jørgensens Maskinfabrik A/S’ former production facilities in Ballerup, Denmark, where the two companies, B. Bille A/S and Barker Fans A/S, will be located in the future. The change of address will happen during the next couple of months.
“The demand for industrial fans is strong, and with this acquisition we will expand our organization and have two production facilities, which enable us to meet our customers’ demands for expertise and short response time”, explains K. Preben Hansen.
“We have now created a solid company with a dedicated and committed management and board of directors. So now we focus on developing the company into a leading international company. We are already working on expansion and initiatives that will put the company in an even stronger position”, says Managing Director Flemming Bille.
